The Strategic Housing and Investment Team are responsible for overseeing Sefton’s strategic housing function, including homelessness commissioning, social housing allocations, social housing growth, and housing led regeneration.

Job requirements:

Working as part of a small team in this role you will take responsibility for homeless commissioning and strategy, the rough sleeper outreach service, and management of social housing allocations, including managing the choice-based allocation system, Property Pool Plus, in the borough.

The post holder will play a leading role in delivering the initiatives outlined in our recently adopted Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategy, working with commissioned external providers, internal stakeholders and the Liverpool City Combined Authority to reduce the instances of homelessness and rough sleeping in the borough.

In addition, the post holder will ensure that our social housing allocations service is delivered in accordance with our adopted policy, and that the highest standards of customer service are applied to the administration of the service via an external provider. The post holder will play a leading role at a sub-regional level with the other authorities who also operate Property Pool Plus.
